Dr. Jeffress Ramsay is a distinguished academic, education leader, historian, and governance practitioner. He holds a PhD and Master’s Degree in history from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Ramsay’s extensive career spans academia, education management, public service, communications, and research. He has held several senior leadership positions, including Principal of Legae Academy, Deputy Director at Botswana Public Service College, Deputy Senior Private Secretary and Press Secretary to the President, and Teaching Fellow and Lecturer at internationally renowned institutions such as Harvard University and Boston University. His extensive governance experience, strategic leadership capabilities, and policy expertise enable him to provide valuable guidance and oversight to the Board, particularly in matters relating to institutional governance, stakeholder engagement, and organisational development.
