Mr. Geoffrey Mahlaka is a Legal and Risk Management Professional currently and serves as Chairperson of the Council. He holds a Commonwealth Executive MBA from Botswana Open University and an LLB from the University of Botswana and is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. He is also a Certified Risk Analyst with additional qualifications in Governance, Risk Management and Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Board Governance, and Business Sustainability Management.
Mr. Mahlaka has extensive experience in legal practice, governance, compliance, insurance, and enterprise risk management. His expertise in corporate governance, legal advisory services and regulatory compliance enables him to provide effective leadership to the Board and support the Council in advancing professionalism and excellence within Botswana’s teaching profession.
