BOTEPCO Takes Over Sowa Primary School: Giving Back to Enhance a Conducive Learning Environment

In an inspiring demonstration of community spirit, the Botswana Teaching Professionals Council (BOTEPCO) took over Sowa Primary School for half a day on Friday, 12 July 2024, through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative “BOTEPCO Takes Over Sowa Primary School”. The initiative reflected BOTEPCO’s dedication to providing conducive learning environments for the teaching fraternity and combined a donation to the school with a day of hands-on service.

As part of the initiative, BOTEPCO donated a laptop, a printer, printer cartridges and printing paper to the school, equipping teachers with the tools they need to prepare teaching materials and manage school administration.

Speaking at the event, BOTEPCO Registrar Dr Raphael Dingalo said the Council’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives align with Botswana’s Vision 2036 of becoming a compassionate nation. He encouraged corporates to support such initiatives, emphasising the value of collective action and compassion in community development, and affirmed that BOTEPCO staff will continue to engage actively in CSI initiatives.

Through initiatives like this, BOTEPCO aims to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of the teaching fraternity and the communities they serve, creating a better, more inclusive future for all.
